Class is in session!

Have you ever found yourself struggling to find ingredients in your kitchen because they're buried in bulky, unattractive packaging?

Or maybe you're tired of constantly restocking your pantry because you can't see when you're running low on certain items. Leaving your ingredients out-of-balance! Who wants three bags of sugar and a 1/2 cup of flour left??

If you're looking for a solution to these common kitchen problems, decanting may be the solution for you.

Decanting is the process of transferring the contents of a product from it's original packaging to a different container. This can be done for a variety of reasons: such as organizing your pantry, reducing clutter, and creating a cohesive look in your kitchen. Whether you want to decant the entire contents of a product or just a certain amount with a refill area, there are many options available to suit your needs.

FIRST

Consider the size of your kitchen and the amount of storage space you have available. If you have a small kitchen with limited storage, you may want to choose smaller containers that can be stacked or stored in a drawer. Mason jars or small glass canisters are a great option for storing spices, grains, and other dry ingredients. They're also easy to label and see through, making it easy-breezy to find what you need.

If you have a larger kitchen with more storage space, you may want to opt for larger containers. Glass jars or plastic canisters with tight-fitting lids are ideal for storing dry goods such as flour, sugar, and pasta. Not only do they keep these items fresh for longer, but they also look great on a countertop or open shelf.

SECOND

When it comes to choosing containers for decanting you can choose from a variety of materials including glass, plastic, and metal. Glass is a popular option because it's durable, easy to clean, and doesn't absorb odours or flavours.

Plastic is another popular choice because it's lightweight, shatterproof, and often more affordable than glass.

Metal containers such as stainless steel or tin, are great for storing items that need to be kept away from light such as coffee beans or tea leaves.

THIRD

If you're looking to create a cohesive look in your kitchen consider choosing containers that match or complement your existing décor. For example, if you have a farmhouse-style kitchen, you may want to choose mason jars or enamel canisters in muted colours.

If you have a more modern kitchen, you may want to opt for clear glass or stainless steel containers with clean lines.

FOURTH

When it comes to decanting it's important to choose containers that can hold the entire contents of a product. This will make it easier to transfer the product and ensure that you don't waste any of it.

However, if you're concerned about waste or prefer to buy in bulk, you can choose containers with a refill area. These containers have a larger opening at the top, allowing you to easily refill them as needed.

Decanting can be a great way to organize your kitchen and create a cohesive look. By choosing the right containers for your needs and décor, you can easily store and find ingredients while reducing clutter in your space. Whether you prefer glass, plastic, or metal containers, there are many options available to suit your needs. So why not give decanting a try and see how it can transform your kitchen?
