Welcome to our FIRST Friday Fix. This is exciting!
You may be asking, what the heck is a Friday Fix, ladies? Let's break it down:
STEP ONE
You send us a photo of a drawer, closet, or a room that you would like to organize. We feature your photo as it is (BEFORE you organize) on our social accounts & blog, with the option to link back to you OR we can keep you anonymous. It's completely up to you!
STEP TWO
We nerd out in the online aisles of organizing products and select the items we would use to organize your room, drawer, or closet. We LINK to these products on our social accounts and our blog to keep it super simple to find them.
STEP THREE
Our online community is inspired, they can contribute their thoughts, AND they can find the recommended products for themselves with a few clicks.
A FEW DISCLAIMERS
These recommendations are made by seeing a photo, so carefully consider your measurements and keep your receipts!
On qualifying links, we earn a commission.
Send us your Friday Fix photos at ANY TIME. We choose at random so we can't promise we will get to yours. But we will try!
The recipient is under NO pressure to buy the product(s) we recommend! We're just having fun and trying to be helpful! If you organize your space please send us the "after" photo, because we nerd out for this stuff.
If you are local (London, Ontario or surrounding area) make sure to book a free consult with us because we would love to see your space in-person!
OK, on to the GOOD STUFF. To kick off our FIRST FRIDAY FIX, we are recommending products for this pantry that serves a family of 6! As an FYI, I'll include that this pantry is made with Ikea cabinetry (for those wondering).

There's been some attempt to organize (kudos!). I see a few containers housing granola and oats, and some baskets for bread. But otherwise, this pantry is a jumble. Honestly, most pantries are!
Of course, we recommend BEFORE ANYTHING emptying the pantry, tossing expired food, and creating zones with your food (ie. all cereal grouped together, all pasta together, etc). On to the pretty products!
1. LET'S ORGANIZE THE CEREAL
These OXO good grip 3-piece set opens with a POP. Getting cereal will be poppin'! This family may need 6 in total to house different cereal, oats & granola. They can continue to use their current containers for goldfish crackers, etc.
2. CAN TIME
ADJUSTABLE & STACKABLE - can I get a "yea, baby!"? This can rack organizer is great because the family could take advantage of the height in their pantry cabinet by stacking them. Plus, the rack is entirely adjustable left to right to fit any size can. With a glance, you can see how many cans are left.
3. TOP SHELF
These 12", non-skid turntables are a great solution for the deep top shelf. Rather than having to reach far back into the unknown, these simply glide around to reveal the sauces and spreads. The non-skid surface keeps everything in place. Plus, having a shallow lip on the edge makes items easy to grab.
4. ALL THOSE SNACKS THAT COME WITH CHILDREN
At 15" deep and just over 7" wide, this clear pantry organizer with adjustable dividers is awesome for snack storage! Gotta love a customizable container.
5. I SEE THOSE INDIVIDUAL OATMEAL PACKETS
There are so many things I like about this storage container. It's 2-tiered, the drawers slide out for easy access, clear drawers are easy to see into, and there are compartments. "Compartments" made be one of my favourite words. So toss the cardboard packaging the oatmeal packets came in and divide oatmeal by flavour.
6. THE TWO LARGE DRAWERS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PANTRY
Consider the measurements so that bins in the drawers fit well together (think Tetris). I like this set of 6 white bins which are 11.2" long, 7.6" wide and 4.7" deep. This is where zones will be very important. For example, one or two bins for pasta, one for crackers, another for bread.
7. LASTLY, LET'S PUT A LABEL ON IT!
I thought these all caps labels from the Talented Kitchen were really cute. Labels are a really fun part of the process. It usually means you're almost done creating the pantry of your dreams! Labels also play a very important role - they tell ALL the family members where food goes so there's no confusion or creativity when putting items back.
YOUR TURN!
Ok, we want to hear from you, 123 Home Reset community. What item do you like? What product would YOU recommend for this pantry (option to link!)? There isn't just 1 way to organize a space. We love to hear your creative solutions!
Happy Organizing! Stephanie & Susi
